In 2004, Haggis gave birth to the formidable screenplay of Million Dollar Baby. Ultra-popular screenwriter, Paul Haggis entered the history of the Academy Awards thanks to the writing of a couple of brilliant films that, for two consecutive years, have obtained the statuette for Best Film: we are obviously talking about Million Dollar Baby and Crash – Contact Physical. He also assisted in the making of the music video “We Are the World 25 For Haiti”. Haggis is a two-time Academy Award winner, a two-time Emmy Award winner and a seven-time Gemini Award winner. He is the creator of the television series Due South (1994-1999) and co-creator of Walker, Texas Ranger (1993-2001), among others. Haggis also co-wrote the war film Flags of Our Fathers (2006) and the James Bond films Casino Royale (2006) and Quantum of Solace (2008). He is best known as a screenwriter and producer for consecutive Satellite Award winners for Best Picture: Million Dollar Baby (2004) Academy Awards for Crash (2005), the latter of which he also directed. Paul Edward Haggis is a Canadian screenwriter, film producer and director of film and television.
